A Harder and Lighter MgSc Alloy Has Been Discovered at Xavimer College in California, USA

Adam Shaw studied at the Harvey Mud College in California, USA. He is a member of an international research group composed of physicists and materialists. His research results may lead to a more durable and lightweight MgSc alloy. He said that in recent years, they have conducted extensive research on magnesium-rare earth alloys. In particular, a mixture of MgSc mixed with 20% of lanthanum has a high strength and good toughness. However, the mixture is only stable at room temperature.
